rock scissors paper

rock scissors paper

--------------------------------
she sits upon the kitchen stool
perfectly still smiling
scissor blades snip past her nose
dark locks spiral to the floor
with a glint awaits each moment
kiss and hug for being good
she scampers off to play

she sits alone at her table
gaze stern stirring
clutching rusty blades
gargoyle grey ginger hair
protective silent stone suit
years fade within she yields
to slouch and mourn

he drifts along their memories
he sleeps perfectly still
cuts in framed moments
her dark locks her gaze
their days
binds combines them
strength memories blood

blood is thicker than water
rock scissors paper
thin
as it bleeds
